2008 marks the 10^th year anniversary of Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM). Malaysia is also at its historical turning point after general election. The people around the world have continued their courageous struggle against the onslaught of capitalism and imperialism.

After the successful "Socialism 2005 -Malaysia", South East Asian Socialism Conference has travelled to Thailand and the Philippines, and now is back again in Malaysia and would be the biggest one.

"Socialism 2008 - Malaysia" will bring together socialists of different currents, social activists and progressive thinkers from different part of the world as well as from all over Malaysia, to discuss and debate issues concerned of the left, socialists and social movement in the world today.

"Socialism 2008 - Malaysia" will also an event to celebrate 10 years of PSM and its struggle for a genuine change.
